Caring for your latex🖤

🧼 How to Wash Latex
To keep your latex looking its best and lasting longer, follow these simple steps for hand washing:
- Fill a clean sink or basin with lukewarm water (not hot — around 30°C / 86°F is ideal).
- Add a small amount of mild soap or latex-specific cleaner (like Vivishine Wash or baby shampoo). Avoid harsh detergents or bleach.
- Gently immerse your latex garment in the water and swish it around with your hands.
Do not scrub, twist, or wring the material — latex is delicate and can tear under pressure. - Let it soak for a few minutes, then rinse thoroughly with clean, lukewarm water until all soap is gone.
- Hang or lay flat to dry in a cool, shaded area away from direct sunlight or heat sources.
Note: Never put latex in a washing machine or dryer. Only hand wash with care to preserve its shape, shine, and strength.

Where to Store Latex? 🦭
Storing latex while damp can lead to mold
☁️ 1. Before storing
Lightly dust with perfume free talc powder to prevent sticking, or
silicone-based latex shiner (like Vivishine) to keep it supple and prevent drying out.
Only use one method at a time—powder or polish, not both.
🌑 2. Store in the Dark
direct sunlight or fluorescent lighting—UV light can cause fading, yellowing, or brittleness.
cloth garment bag or store it in a drawer or box, away from heat and light.
🧤 3. Avoid Metal and Oils
not store latex in contact with metal (especially copper, brass, or nickel) — it will stain permanently.
Avoid contact with perfumes, lotions, oils, and deodorants—they can degrade the latex.
🎨 4. Separate Light & Dark Colors
Store light-colored latex separately to avoid color transfer or staining from darker garments.
⚠️ Substances That Can Damage Your Latex
These metals can cause permanent staining, yellowing, or spotting, especially on lighter-colored latex: Copper, Brass, Bronze, Nickel, and Any alloys containing copper.
Oil breaks down latex over time, causing it to become sticky, cloudy, or weak.
Body oils , Lotions & moisturizers, Makeup & foundation, Perfumes, Baby oil, Massage oils, petroleum jelly.
Only use latex-safe cleaning products when washing or shining your garments.
